Westminster Woods is a retirement community in Huntingdon, Pennsylvania.  This garden was established in Fall 2015.

Residents lay cardboard to prepare the site by killing grass and weeds.
Presbyterian Senior Living, the community's parent group, sought to pursue projects aiming toward environmental stewardship.  A "pollinator group" formed from the community's garden club and in 2014 began to work with Master Gardeners to plan a large pollinator garden.  After much preparation and planning, the garden was installed in September 2015.  Committee member Nancy Cardinali notes that "this is an ongoing community project with many contributions made so far."  Residents have contributed labor and cash, and the Master Gardeners put in many volunteer hours as well as donating over 100 plants to get the garden started.
