Botanical Name: Origanum vulgare subsp. hirtum
Plant Family: Mint (Lamiaceae)

Description: A 1/2- 3/4 ft. perennial with showy white flowers.  This low maintenance plant produces highly aromatic, flavorful dark green leaves often used in cooking.

Growing Conditions:   Easily grown in medium soil/drainage soil.    

Bloom Time: July
Bloom Color: White.

Benefit to pollinators/wildlife:  Attractive to a variety of bees and other insects.

Native Status: Not native.
