Plant Family: Figwort (Scrophulariaceae) Description: The unbranched stem can grow 2-6 ft. and is topped by several spikes of densely-clustered white flowers, causing it to look like a candle candelabra. Dark green leaves are whorled around the stem. Growing Conditions: Can grow in full sun to part shade in rich moist soils. Bloom Time: July through September Bloom Color: White, pink, blue Benefit to pollinators/wildlife: Special value to native and honey bees. Also attracts butterflies. Native Status: Native to PA.
