Common boneset

Botanical Name: Eupatorium perfoliatum
Plant Family: Aster (Asteraceae)

Description: A 3-6 ft. hairy perennial with dense white flat-topped clusters of flowers. Stem appears to be growing through the stems. 

Growing Conditions: Can grow in full sun to shade in moist, wet soils. 

Bloom Time: June through October
Bloom Color: White

Benefit to pollinators/wildlife: Special value to native bees and attracts birds and butterflies.

Native Status: Native to PA.

Location in habitat: Pollinator Demonstration Garden, Pennsylvania Native Plant Society Demonstration Garden.
